See this dog?
Her name is Hope. Hope was tied up around the neck with electrical wire by 19-year-old Dionte Davis and left to die in the woods. Her trachea was severed, as you can see above, from her struggle. She survived a little while after being rescued, but sadly did not make it. She was, however, alive when the above picture was taken. Nearly decapitated, but still alive.
Can you imagine the pain she felt? Yet even after that, she was still trusting of people. Still friendly, still loving, to her dying day. Such a sweet dog, who, thanks to the cruel actions of a twisted man, met an untimely and inhumane death. What did Hope do to deserve this?
There’s a petition here to give Davis the maximum sentence, along with many others around the web. Please at least look at the page, and reblog to get the word around. Abuse like this deserves the full punishment.
HERE’S A WORKING LINK TO THE PETITION, SIGN THIS —-> PETITION

this made me cry a bit. people fucking suck. i signed the petition.

Signed. Only 9267 signatures left to go.

Signed. Please, it only took 10 seconds.

That Pharmacist Who Refused To Fill The Prescription Unless The Nurse-Practicioner Told Her If The Uterine Bleeding Was The Result Of An Abortion?

lazybookreviews:

I honestly hope she dies unpleasantly.  Am I a bad person?  Almost certainly.

But I would be pleased to learn of her unpleasant death.  That kind of smug, hypocritical bullshit infuriates the Lazy Self-Indulgent Book Reviewer.

Go get a fucking job answering phones for Focus On The Family.  Get out of the business of providing medical assistance for people who need it.

I loathe you, pharmacist.  I loathe you.

I am in love, hence free to live | Vera Pavlova

I am in love, hence free to live
by heart, to ad lib as I caress.
A soul is light when full,
heavy when vacuous.
My soul is light. She is not afraid
to dance the agony alone,
for I was born wearing your shirt,
will come from the dead with that shirt on.

Taxi fare increase effective on January 15 →

pinoytumblr:

The flagdown rate will be P40 for the first 500 meters starting January 15 and succeeding charges will also go up from P2.50 to P3.50 for every 250 meters or for every two minutes of waiting time.

The LTFRB based its decision on the petition filed last January 22, 2010 by the Philippine National Taxi Operators Association (PNTOA), said Manuel Iway, a member of the LTFRB board.

But Anakpawis-Davao spokesperson Franchie Buhayan described the increase as “too much” and “unfair” to the working class, whose petition for a P125 across-the-board wage increase is yet to be acted upon by the government.

WHAT COULD BE THE EFFECT OF RH BILL IN CASE IT WILL BE APPROVED?

I remember this RH BILL was a topic which was discussed to us two years ago and here it rises again. That time, I don’t fully understand what does this RH BILL means. According to an online copy, RH BILL is AN ACT PROVIDING FOR A NATIONAL POLICY ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, RESPONSIBLE PARENTHOOD AND POPULATION DEVELOPMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. Today, at our morality class it was again, opened.

What will happen if RH BILL will be signed by our President? Here are the possible effects from this act, if legalized

  • DIVORCE - According to Wikipedia, Divorce (or the dissolution of marriage) is the final termination of a marital union, cancelling the legal duties and responsibilities of marriage and dissolving the bonds of matrimony between the parties. If this will be legalized, many families will be broken. Possibly, many children will be abandoned, left or worse, aborted.
  • EUTHANASIA - Also known as Mercy Killing. The old population of our country will be killed when they lose utility to the society. They wont be killed once but they’ll be killed slowly like placing chemicals on their food until they become weak and eventually die. Who are you to say that a man’s life stops there when he loses utility to the society? Are you God to say that?
  • ABORTION - So if this mercy killing will be legalized, for sure abortion will be also one of it’s effect. If you don’t like the child, you are free to chose if you’ll keep the child or simply abort it.
  • TWO-CHILD POLICY - Simply, this bill is trying to break down our populace. The Philippines has a strong population and I strongly believe to the quote “Ang kabataan ay ang pag-asa ng bayan”. Haven’t you noticed what do other countries import from us? Not rice, crops, nor gems but MANPOWER. Our country is very rich with human resources and if time comes that there will be a larger population of seniors than children, possibly, the economy can go down and fluctuate.
  • HOMOSEXUALITY - According to the bible God hasn’t allowed to same sexes to join together though in our country, homosexuality is starting to be accepted but still, they should be what they are at first and be contented with what they have.
  • SAME-SEX MARRIAGE - If a priest refuses to marry a homosexual couples the couple will have a power to demand the priest to court and file a case. Again, according to the bible only a man and a woman are legible to marriage.

Yes, we know that every individual has their own rights and they can freely do what they’ll want to do but in this case, as a Catholic country, it’s just fair for the church to contradict the plans of our government because here, we’re talking about the morale of an individual.

I was also reminded on what has the late Pope John Paul II had said: “There will come a time that there will be an anti-christ president”. I’m scared on what could possibly happen to my generation and to my children’s generation if this bill is legalized. I don’t like to lose my morals and the moral of the people around me.

If we care, we should think.

If we care, we should think.

Winner: irony of the day.

^what he said.
